As you enter the children's section of the library, you walk under a beautifully painted arch with colored lights that blink on. With her extra-ordinary talent, Lisa Mandle created a wonderland entrance to the world of children's books, children's stories and children's imagination. |

"The inspiration for the illustrated arch to the children's section came from the beloved children's book The Secret Garden with a focus less on illustrating any specific children, rather to decorate and embellish the entrance with beauty found in nature; plants, trees, flowers, animals and birds. I also wanted to include the door to the garden open, with the key in the lock, and a stack of favorite books on a tree stump inviting all to enter and partake in the joy of reading and imagination."
